This is my idea of love!! This dog had come from the most appauling abuse and after weeks of TLC and quiet handling he finally got confidence to walk amoungst people and horses in our fields! This was him introducing himself to the very big scarey horse!!! We managed to find him a fabulous new home not long after.

It took a while, but Farra is now as huge a part of my OH's life as Cairo was. He just loves standing there giving her a hug and she is a very affectionate mare.

and this sums up Cairo - just a big horse that I loved to hug. I had just got off him after he had given Stinky's his first lesson at being led off another horse and had been so careful of him. he taught Stinky so much about life. RIP old fella.

Lovely pics. Thank you all for sharing. My boy doesn't do hugs. Though I do put my arms around his bum and and kiss his dorsal stripe. He is affectionate when no one else is around. He is 'real hard'.

I think he was about 2wks old here, & now at 18mths hes still such a soppy sweetheart :) Probably one of the most affectionate horses I have owned.
However, there are plenty more that define 'The love of a horse'
