Just a silly post really!!
I was having a cupa and a ciggy before I got Mels in this morning, and was looking down the barn, musing to myself how I must have the biggest group of disfunctional, strange animals ever!!
Mels was lying down in her paddock with Buttons (a hand reared January born lamb) and Snorty (an old texel tup) snuggled up with her, Snorty has adopted Buttons, and now she can only be found with 'me Dad'! (Snorty also loves nothinf better than Seren my little mare licking hs face!!) Inside the barn there is Piggy, a hand reared lamb from last year who suffers with arthritus lying down chewing his cud, snuggled up to him, having a sip of water is the wild duck who has adopted us. She 'helps' piggy with his food and water, and comes quacking round the caravan for some bread or biccys everyso often!
Then in the 'big cade' pen, the 5 large hand reared lambs are playing with a feather that has floated down...they are fascinated by it, dancing around and then running away!
The 6 younger cades in the other pen are playing with Spud, the pigeon that fell out of his nest as a fledgling and broke his wing, we strapped it and his parents fed him and now he's fine - and pretty tame!!
So - can you guys beat that??
As I left everyone was sleeping - the duck cuddled up on piggy, and Melly flat out snoring next door! lol! xx
