I had decided to move back to diy livery for the winter. Then I changed my mind. Then I changed it back again. I wasn't sure that I wanted to go back to livery after being on my own, but today I knew I had made the right decision.

My field is a quagmire. I slipped over in the mud several times in half an hour (much to OH's amusement!) The rain was lashing down and the wind was almost blowing me off my feet.

Earlier this afternoon I had been at the livery yard talking to the YO. No mud. Lovely big stables in a barn. I can groom the horses etc in the dry.

We move next weekend

I've been hankering after a house with land all summer but husband refuses to move out of the city centre - claims he get's nosebleeds if he has to leave conrete! Today, it has been a blessing to be able to ring the yard, ask them to feed horses and then settle down on the sofa with my two small daughters to read books and watch silly movies. There's pros and cons to both situations but in the witner its so nice to have helping hand - especially when you can't drive! Good luck with the move.
