Well we walked Chance down to the new yard today and she was brilliant all the way. Very alert as we got close but that's completely normal for a new environment. We walked her round the back of the barn, had a chat with YO and a couple of liveries and she stood as good as gold just taking in the sites. Then we took her to her stable and she went straight in, had a sniff, then started munching away at her hay net. She's settled down already and I'm so pleased! When she first came to us back in October it took her around 2 months to settle properly so this is really, really good for her. She seems really at home and the stable is big and airy. We did completely the right thing to move her. She's going out with the other horses tomorrow so fingers crossed she won't make a scene!

FAB!! Glad it went ok! Is she going out with all the horses, or being seperated first? Only as tere maybe a few rows if she goes out with a new herd straight away?

Well, another new one came today too and they were going to go out tomorrow in a small paddock together. The only thing is, when they were bailing(sp?) yesterday some bales fell from the tractor and broke the fencing which means they can't do that now. So her and the new one are going to go for a walk around the field first to get their barings and then the horses will be put out a few at a time so that they can all get used to each other.

Quick update - Fencing was fixed today (they're very on the ball!!!) and Chance and Samara the other new one can now go out in the smaller paddock for a week and then be introduced to the others.
