has anyone else had trouble with there products or services. i purchased a pair of muck boot wellingtons in Dec 3 weeks later they had a split in, I took them back to the shop but the shop refused to do anything with them and said they were 'cut' i had only used the boots around the stable yard. i contacted the company who took ages to bother replying I send letters emails ect, and they then sent me a reply saying sorry the shop owner said they were cut and you are getting no refund!! I am furious as i expected them to last like my hunters do. they are not cheap either.
a friend as a pair as well and her linings have all collapsed so they rub her feet. any idea's or help please.

My linings have gone at the heel and they have started to come apart on the seem at the back but I have had them 2 or 3 years and wear them for everything apart from riding.
Its bad that they say theyve been cut. Where exactly have they split.

I am always singing their praises, my Muck Boots disintegrated after 2 years of solid wear every day (I wore the sole away)

My Tynes have just seen me through a third winter of months of snow and sub zero temperatures (and not just the odd day at -5C either) with not as much as a chilly toe.

I am fretting because so far I haven't found a dealer here for them, I'm going to have to pay half as much again to get the next pair shipped over!

Never had a problem - on my 2nd pair now and they have just gone through their 3rd winter - may not get through the next winter as I have worn the sole away!!

Enfys - PM when you want your next pair - be happy to help.

the boots split on the side the inside at that so would be hard to cut them! and all my horses are barefoot! wouldnt mind but i brought 5 pairs 4 of them wellies and a pair of riding boots, they must be faultly as all the others are fine,

I've had 2 pairs of the riding style long boots split over the toes, but I put that down to mucking out lots of stables in them and the ammonia killing them off.

The kids both have the short standard style muck boots (tack boots), they are holding up really well.

I bought a pair of green short ones, they had a "treaded" sole. They look like the Chore work boot on the website I do wear them a lot every day, but the sole has nearly worn smooth and I've basically just had them for a winter. Not 6 months old yet. The tops are fine, no splits at all on this pair. Think I'd better find a different make, I've not done that well with Muck Boots. I'm going to go back to cheap dunlop wellies I think, at least if they're rubbish and don't last they won't have cost very much in comparison to all the others I've tried...

Try both the manufacturer and the shop again. Tell them how satisfied you are with other pairs that you have had. Then tell them that if they are not prepared to do anything for you , you will inform Trading Standards that these boots are not fit for purpose and if that doesn't get you anywhere DO tell Trading Standards.

i have a pair thats about 6 years old now - tynes - no fault, showing their age by rubs where ive ridden in them but other than that nothing.

i have a second pair, lighter use than the 1st (idea that id wear older ones out first, which is now going the opposite and the older are out living the new ones!) and they have about 3-4 splits in EACH boot. not impressed, the tynes again, but newer design. wont be buying them again.

My 1st pair lasted ages, 2nd pair not so good. Like Hunters, I wonder if they are cuting costs by using cheaper materials and outsourcing manufacture abroad?

Enfys, Derby House have a massive sale on at the moment - savings of £20-£30 a pair of boots. If you bought from there, maybe the costs of international postage would just take the price back up to its original, meaning you wouldnt have to pay over the odds?
