Galaxy has had his grazing muzzle on for a while now, my friend weighed him today for me and he has gone down from 368kg to 342kg. Just goes to show that although he might hate the muzzle it is working

Might sound silly to some people but his weight is a constant battle and this is the lightest he has ever been

Well done! I can't seem to convince mine that he can eat through the little hole - any tips

Mine won't eat with his Shires one on - just sulks. He is OK in his greenguard, he wears it all the time hes out.
I hate them, but I suppose it must be better than being shut in all the time.

I totally second the muzzles working. If it wasn't for my boys greenguard he wouldn't be able to go out, he doesn't even seem to notice it these days!

My lad will be going into his Greenguard soon, he doesn't put a masive amount of weight on but it prevents the grass bloat that he gets. He's used to it now, eats & drinks fine.

I'm not a fan of the other makes I'm afraid, they seem to rub & in my view restrict grazing to almost nil.

I have only tried Greenguard and Shires. GG the best, IMO, but it can rub and you do need to play with the adjustments. I also think their (v. expensive) headcollar is worth getting

Thanks for info. He has come through the winter a bit leaner and fitter than last year so will see how he goes, fingers crossed might not need one.. but will def. try one of those if he starts looking podgy!
Cheers.
