The nagging feeling that riding horses is just odd

Speaking of alpacas ....... does anyone by any chance know of anyone wanting some ?

Sadly BIL has passed away, he owns some alpacas. They are available and are to be given away as the family do not want them, however they have to be collected from France. I do not have any details to hand but can soon get them, there are several of them. They are being well cared for ' at livery ' on an alpaca farm.

I am posting this on the off chance that someone, may know someone, who may be interested in them. Serious enquiries only please.

Worth mentioning to @Titchy Pony who is in France, though it's a huge country, which region are they currently?

There is an out break of Lumpy Skin Disease in France at the moment, I'm not sure is Alpacas are affected but it might be worth checking if you are able to bring them over currently. I know we arent able to import semen

Hi @Andie02 I've always wanted some alpacas, but unfortunately not the right time for me. However, my BIL has an old student / friend who breeds them, so might be interested/ have contacts. I'll drop my BIL a message and get back to you. I'm away until the weekend so might not respond fast.

BIL's friend very interested and in France so hopefully minimal paperwork / biosecurity issues. I've asked for his details and I'll drop you a message @Andie02 when I've got them

Thank you Titchy Pony. BIL's family who live in the UK want them gone asap. as the livery cost will be on going. Meanwhile we will get details of the alpacas as we haven't a clue what there is other than as far as we are know there are no recent cria's / babies.

It would be brilliant. I put a search in for alpacas and found this thread, and thought it may be worth posting to ask if anyone wanted any.

It appears that alpacas are not affected by Lumpy Skin Disease.

Going by the bites from frigging biting things I have had now going back for well over the last 5 weeks I think that I must have had the human version of LSD, it's a nightmare.
