The Name!

OK, what is the worst name you have had for a horse or heard a horse called! When I brought my 1st horse,a cob who was skewbald,she came with the name 'Miss Blobs',and I hated it,but I believe it to be unlucky to change it so I stuck with it,and would cringe when I called her name across a field....as bless always came to call,I think she knew the embarrassment I felt when I had to call her!

I had a pony that was called Poo, as he was born in a pile of poo, he was renamed

I knew a horse called Ugly! and currently we have a horse called Eric at our yard thats quite a funny name I thought!

well not my horse but my late foals dad is called big boy!! i used to have my old horse in the field next to him and it used to make me giggle hearing the owner calling him in!!! also had a sh*tland called mini!! how original!!! other than that i've also had buttons!, snaffles! and Em!!! thankfully the other horses i have had they had normal names!!

We've had one called "Afriditees" (sp?) who then became "Dierdre" and rosiieposiies mare Bertha, used to belong to my dad, when he bought her she was called Barbarella!!

A pony who we used to see at shows was called - Thunderbolt Excel 5 - what a fab name!

Pony at my yard is called BJ. It is apparently short for Bo Jangles, but I can't help thinking something else everytime I hear its name yelled across the field!!!

Not the same, but my Mum has a dog called Dave, that's pretty embaressing when I take him for a walk and have to stand there calling him!

i used to ride an iron grey pony for a friend called ''norman''!!!

it was quite embarrassing at shows when they would call out Sophie T*******h on ''norman!!!!''

mind you bear or teddies bear isn't much better!!!

It was so funny because he was a real steady eddy!

Although..... I have a confession to make, my name is Sarah Buck, and my horses BSJA and BE name is..... Badger Buck!

Thought it was funny until I had to go and enter!

Well we have two cobs called Bobby Joe and Tonto at our RS- Not excatly "bad" names but I find them witty!

The cobs are such characters too.
The first three of the ponies I learnt to ride on were called Will Do, Topper and Dandy!!!

And no, Will Do wasn't shortened to Will, and he didn't 'will do' what he was told!!!

Yep, my vet wanted to call my cob 'Dave',when I called him after his vetting and he said'There's one thing bothering me about this cob,can't you change his name from 'DJ' to 'Dave'!......Err,had me worried there for a mo,it was my vet's idea of a joke(And that is the vet that hardly passes many horse's and he really liked this one!)

Well I named my colt 'Jesse' which gets alot of people....
His full names 'Luckly Lane Jester' (And I knew a horrid Jester)
When he's naughty or taking the piss he gets called 'Jessica'...

his parents are 'bracken'' and ''cloudy'' if that helps for some great ideas!!!!!

he is such a soppy stallion!!! well me andmy mate made him that way by lots of kisses and cuddles!!!!
