thanks guys x

I think they are very good bits but there is no substitute for some good local knowledge if you can get it.
I ride Lady in the tranz lozenge Baucher which she seems happy with. It was recommended by an instructor when I first got her. What surprised me was that a 5 and 3/4 inch was needed, probably wider than I would have assumed without advice.

I have three of their bits, and each one does what it says it should...and each time I rang the helpline on the website to get information Heather was really good at working out based on my description of the issues and then offering a suggestion on what bit. They also have a clever little paper thing to cut out and use to measure horse's mouth for deciding what size to get.

I use their bits as well. I tried the tranz lozenge in hanging cheeks but star manged to grab it. So we tried the Verbindend and it's brilliant. Incidentally, she has a 5" mouth, but we needed a 5.75".

They are good bits, however,...

they come up small, be sure to measure your horse's mouth properly, and, I find that they mark very easily.

I had one that a horse managed to "crunch" and the metal was dented and had a sharp edge:(
