I don't like her training method, see 1.44 and 2.31 on this video. This is a dog that has learned how to avoid punishment. (Escape avoidance training)

The dogs head carriage looks even worse there, although it’s probably a closer camera angle. It must hurt their neck and throat?

Yeah, for sure in jars, but a dog that has the strength and nerve to take on a human adversary is not going to be that bothered by a tap from a bamboo cane in drive.
Again, the attitude in the work, with no training gear, shows me a happy picture rather than a pressured or stressed one.
That's what the pressure phase is designed to demonstrate, can the dog work through pressure? They're tough and tough to correction.
This is a service dog as well as a sports dog.
If a police or army dog lets go, runs away etc when a criminal is going at it or threatening to do so, with a weapon, it won't make the grade and leaves it's handler exposed. So again, if it has the drive and will to work through that sort of stress, it can probably cope with stress from the handler.
While sports and real world are very different, these dogs often come from the same gene pools and one world wouldn't exist without the other.
Re head carriage, this is the phase where I'd expect her to come out of behaviour rather than sustain it, and she isn't. The bitch is five, the clip is two years old, so I guess time will tell.
There are many roads to Rome, I just wanted to celebrate a woman from a warzone with a toddler and a newborn, who's husband is fighting and her tough little female, who have become world champions.
