I don't want to jinx us, but so far she's been an absolute dream. Sleep-deprived as we are, it could definitely be worse, and I feel like we've absolutely lucked out with our lovely little girl
Just a little Aria update and photo dump for anyone who's interested. Aria is now 14 weeks. She's equal parts exhausting and delightful, with the biggest personality. It's hard to imagine how the house didn't feel empty without her, and it very much seems like she's been here forever.
She was the tiniest runt when we picked her up, and at eight and a half weeks, she weighed a petite 2.8kg. By 13 weeks, she'd almost tripled in weight and was a sturdy 8.45kg at her last vet check. She knows sit, down, and paw, and has a rudimentary understanding of stay and "look at me". She's toilet trained to all intents and purposes, with accidents being a rarity and usually our fault for missing her obvious cues.
Her favourite thing in the world is meeting new friends, human or canine, so her recall is very much a work in progress i.e. perfect until a person or dog walks into view, at which point it's back on the lead for little Miss Sociable!

I still can't get over how quickly she's changing!
I just love the look of utter consternation on Oliver's face...."NO, no please, you surely aren't leaving 'it' here with me are you! We really don't need one of these, please take it home with you!" Fabulous pic. ??
What a lovely girl . She looks very contented , and Oliver is rather dashing .
I know what you mean when you say the house now doesn’t feel empty anymore . Their presence is really bigger than their size.
