...has been with me for exactly one year today.

I won't lie - the first three months were dreadful, the following three months a series of tiny victories interspersed with crashing disappointments, three months after that seeing the victories outweighing the bad bits for the first time... and, finally, the last three months have been bloody wonderful.

By chance we found ourselves walking in the same spot that we did her first 'big' walk a year ago; here she was then:

Its not just the freeads, breeders are my bugbear why do they sell dogs to people who know nothing about the breed and how much work and commitment is needed to train a dog.
