The Olympics eventing - battle of the titans. who will win?

was thinking about this today: god willing (and injuries to horses etc hopefully being averted), we will see Nicholas Touzaint and Galan, Zara and Toytown, Bettina and not-sure-actually, Andrew, Toddy, Mary, William, Daisy, maybe Pippa, and various other top combinations. it is going to be a fascinating competition.
Who do you think will win?
I guess, pony-club-mistakes notwithstanding, Bettina is a good bet, but i hope not... i would love Mary or William to win Gold most of all. you?

There would be something poetic about Toddy winning - I would hate to see him fall from that pedestal I have him on!

I do not think it will be Bettina, and if it's not Toddy then I would love for it to be Mary - she is a true Olympic athlete, she embodies the Olympic spirit for me, and she deserves the win.

I think it will Nicholas Touzaint will get it. He's on top form at the moment.

Agree about Toddy, it would be an absolute fairytale, and brilliant for the sport. ditto about Mary, she's absolutely wonderful.

Agree with above, if toddy, mary or william win I'll be thrilled! Or Zara actually, oh, or Lucinda Fredricks as I have a real soft spot for little Brit....not sure she's an olympic horse though.
What are the dates for the olympic 3 day?

Oh, yes, I love the little ones so yes, would love to see teddy o connor do well, like to quote him and Brit at people who say I'm mad for choosing a horse under 16.2hh!!

Tamarillo is not going to the Olympics. Parkmore Ed will be in contention instead.

I will be patriotic and stick with the Brits but hope a horse the size of CAC can cope with humidity. None of the GB horses look ideal as not pure TB but fingers crossed they will be good.

I would love to see Teddy O'Connor win.

He is small and nippy, also near TB (so great in the heat and humidty, also being from USA is probably more used to the heat.

The Olympics is usually 'dumbded down' a bit to cater for the lesser riding nations so I think the track could well suit this mega talanted pony.
