Went up early this morning, she was fine (not very stressy). Fed. Buted. Turned out. Cantered away, then trotted rather nicely across the bottom of the field.

An hour or so later she and another mare had a leg waving match - backends at dawn! Nothing connected, but Dizz's wonky pelvis went twang.

So, Dizz is now lame on the backend as well.

Am I stressed? No. Am I worried? No.

I am impressed at myself.

Ho hum.

Ha Mrs M - you have moved beyond stress into "the zone". This is a mysterious place where those of us with tricky self harmers spend much of our time. It is caused by so much stress that our poor brains cannot take anymore and move into another dimension.

Only when the tricky self harmer starts to come sound do we move back into the stress zone once again.

I know that zone well!!!

Pleased you are not stressing Mrs M, but will share some hot choccy with you x

(((((HUGS)))))

But I so wish you could pass some of your cool calm and collected vibes to me. I've just watched both my horses injure themselves in the field after some ducks were flighted through the middle of the herd. Everything panicked, Flynn fell over and got up quickly and the big mare trotted off but managed to fold her foot in so she trotted off on the end of her fetlock joint. They both spent most of 2008 on box rest. Flynn was fine whilst still moving but seized up as soon as he stopped - so I've left him out, the mare seemed only a tiny bit short as she hightailed round the field but she's not keen for me to touch her fetlock. I've buted them both and am sitting here feeling sick and desperate.

Hmmm...................could be 'the zone'.................could be valium

In any event, I want some of what you're having. You are very Zen Mrs M!

oh poo, not good C!!
I hope she has just tweaked something and is ok in a day or two!
liking the calmness, dont know how you manage it though to be honest! horses, honestly, such a worry!!

Thankies, thankies, thankies

Hot choccies all round

I watched her walk, she was going 'Ouch', hobble, Ouch', hobble. I didn't even call the vet - no point, nothing to be done, only time and gentle wobbling about the field will tell whether it's serious or not.

She's beautiful, she's kind. I love her. As is

.

Oh no, another b****r!! That zone they are on about is actually numbness. It happens to those who are over exposed to things like this, could also be called de sensitisation.....phew, that was a long word!!x

Need to sit down now!x

I swear to god that some day soon, Dizz is gonna learn to write and will leave you a sign on the field gate saying

"I'm only here to be looked at, nothing more!"

Hugs C, hope she's feeling better soon

I have to comment here that there may be a passing link between the stunning colour of the delectable dizzys mane and blonde hair colouring in females?
In all seriousness you are having a hell of a time - heres hoping its nothing serious and that 2010 is truely Dizzy time.
In the meantime I can lend you a mentally tapped but physically fine and truely stunning ID/ TB?!!

C - behave, you know long words are bad for you lol
grin.gif

F - certainly you may
smile.gif
. As to Good Luck, I've had years of it so was probably overdue a blast of bad. Ho hum

SP - I still don't drink, but I may yet take it up...

HaSM - being a auburny brunette (or was before the salt and pepper made an appearance), I could not possibly comment
grin.gif
. And her name is no reflection (The Dizzy Blonde)
cool.gif
. As to your athletic TBxID, on the grounds that I cannot ride yet I'm afraid he'd be wasted - all he'd be able to do is stand in a field and eat all day (unless Daughter got hold of him
