Tomorrow is the annual meet which starts at our yard and to be honest I'm dreading it. I originally thought it was today (being new years day and all) but found out yesterday it is actually tomorrow due to today being the annual shooters meet or something!??!
Anyway all horses not hunting are left in until the hunt have left (meet is at 11:00 so they will be out at 12 at earliest). Most of the horses are in an American style barn which means they will be able to hear the meet but not see it. Fleur however is in a separate section of four stables so she will be able to see and here the meet and shall we just say last year I had to completely remove in full her semi deep littered bed as it was that trashed.
YO is going to try and move her into main barn but depends on what stables are free but doesn't stop me stressing as I know she will try and climb the walls. Flo (housemate's) will be similar if not worse.
I'm just hoping that once moved off they keep away from the farm as if they stay around all day I can just see disaster ensuing. Annoyingly I work too far away to get back any time early and by time I do get back even the hounds will have got back and left.
Anyway they will be booted up and watched over along with all the others not hunting by grooms with housemate on standby to ditch work if needed (she works 5 mins away).
I'm sure they will be fine but doesn't stop me stressing.
