The people you meet.....

Ever since I've had Barnes I've met loads of lovely dog owners while out on walks. I thought I knew loads of people in my village but there are loads more I've met out on walkies.

Well last night I met this lovely couple with their gorgeous, but huge lab who adores playing with Barnes. We have a good old natter every time we met up and they are super people. Anyway last night completely out of no where I discover that the blokes sister is married to Chris Bartle!

I love the way he just innocently said....'Yes my sisters OH is pretty good at this riding thing, he won Badminton once......' I mean BLOODY HELL!!!!!

So who have you met on a walk with your hound? Anyone famous? Anyone amazingly interesting? or just someone you became firm friends with???

I have met lots of lovely people while walking Loki

One bloke is a scriptwriter on the Bill... and we sometimes see Olivia Coleman (who is in various things like Hot Fuzz, Green Wing and Confetti)

It is a nice way to meet lots of people who live nearby tho

We loved this aspect of dog ownership...meeting the good people not the bad dog owners. We met the local land owner where we walked our dog. Various Lords and ladies that we became friends with an ex Army officer and his wife and family who have had the most amazing life in South Africa and through them a loads of other people. An ex naval Captain and his wife and manic dog...a lady in her nineties he in all weathers walks her Dalmation who is a least 500 years old for miles!!! The list goes on for ever ...All still firm friends despite moving away.
