Does anyone else think that "The Pony Club" is an outdated name for it now, seeing as more then half of its members are on horses and the age range goes upto 25?

It just sounds such an old fashioned, tweed wearing, tally-ho club to most people who havn't heard of it, and frankly sounds quite stupid when you are putting it down on application forms.

Youth Equestrian Federation anyone?

I have to say I do agree with you - my daughter is a teenager and is contantly taunted by schoolfriends who say oooooooeeeeePooony Club!! Maybe time PC HQ had a referendum amongst its members and came up with a new name although I think your suggestion is pretty good!

I think exactly the same!!! I hated being in Pony Club sometimes, sounds sooooo pompous! Another reason for kids to take the pee out of you, as if being 'posh' for having a horse wasn't enough ammunition for them!!

And yes, does look rubbish on CVs, as employers just think you have staff to do everything for you, and all your friends sound (and act) as if they come from a Jilly Cooper novel. I sometimes exclude the fact that I have ride on my CV - some people judge you quite harshly for things like that!
