I recently got a shetland on loan with view to buy who came with a weatherbeeta 4ft foal rug which was a really poor fit on her. Not being my pony (yet) I am continuing to rug her as her owners do so all winter. However I decided to buy her a nice new rug.
Thats when the hassle began
I ordered a rug from The Pony Tack shop, having measured her, and when it arrived it just didnt fit. Said rug was sent back to them and I ordered a size smaller. It turns out the IVhorse wee pony rugs just dont suit my wee girl as she is right inbetween the size of a mini and standard, a 4ft is too big and at 3f9 IVhorse change the cut to suit a finer pony and so they are too tight round the neck
Arrrgh!! So that rug had to go back as well!! I was getting very fed up and phoned Steve at The Pony Tack shop (feeling quite bad for having had to return 2 rugs).
He coudlnt have been more helpful. He really knows about little ponies and the cuts and fits of the various rug options and spoke to me for ages going through all the options. We both came to the conclusion the more expensive Rhino Wug was the best option and despite having not recieved the 2nd rug return from me, Steve trusted my word and sent out the Rhino for me to try.
Im pleased to report it fits like a glove
We are all quick to complain when things go wrong so I thought I would share this great experience, good old fashioned customer service from a knowledgeable source who genuinely cared about sorting out my pony with a well fitting rug.
