Hi, this is my first post and really I am looking for a little bit of help. I am in my 3rd year at the Royal Agricultural College, reading International Equine and Agricultural Business Management (A bit of a mouthful I know).

Anyway we have been given a task in teams of 6 to design a new equine product or even revamp an old one, there is no budget and you can do anything you would like but time is short so we are trying to keep the idea relitively simple if possible.

So the question is does anyone have any ideas on new products or ones that would be more efficient with some improvements? Any help would be hugely appreshiated, Thank you in advance!!!!!

I'd like a large wheelbarrow that gets through thick mud without clogging the wheels and tips full loads without having to lift it and... has a motor for getting it up slopes/hills.
I'd also like a something to stop hooves snowballing and a product to give grip to horses shoes in icy weather.
And a rug that doesn't rub out manes or cause rubs on shoulders with fine coated horses. Also a rug that has some give around the shoulders and neck to accomodate the horse grazing.

Rugs that don't get wet.

Somthing that stops mud sticking to everything!

Different coloured mud, just for variety you understand :D

Saddle bags that allow for a) the fact that I don't want dirty stirrup irons next to my saddle, and b) I don't want a muddy girth over the seat!

Something to stop the poaching round the gateways.

Leadropes that don't always end up in the muddy patch!

Easy to fill and tie up haynets.

Hm. Will no doubt think of some more when I should be working... :D

I would like something to make Haynets easier to fill! Maybe something to hold them open for me (don't know if this already exists).

and...

A self cleaning water trough in the field that doesn't get filled up with green slime.

how about a barrow like a sack barrow for moving hay and straw bales - with big wheels to cope with the mud and ruts and lightweight. hooks on the back for holding the haynet open.

Electric fencing which is like super wide if that makes sense? Like you know the things you put on the stable door to stop the horse coming out, like the actual wire as thick as that to make the fencing look more solid so the horses don't go through it.

Kind of like this but electric fencing :)

And fencing posts which are even higher then the tall ones, tbh if my old 12hh could jump it I'm sure most things could :p

Ye a wheelbarrow thats wheels dont clog up would be pretty awesome...

Super thin gloves that are like not wearing any but are super warm!
