Don't feed it, but we do sell it. Had quite a few people on it at one time, but supply is sporadic so most have gone back to other 'simple' feeds ie grass or alfalfa nuts, sugar beet, straights. Have you considered adding fenugreek as an appetiser?

I have tried it, but then went back to Primero Equine Total. My horses preferred it and for me it is quite economical as feed just 1k per day, so will last one horse nearly 3 weeks.

Vonno,

My horse is 650kgs, 17hhs, and working Elem / Medium.

I am thinking of 25% RDA of Pure Condition (600gms) and 75% of RDA of Pure Balance (450gms). And 24lbs of haylage a day.

So it sounds very comparable to 1kg of Primero a day for a smaller horse.

I had my cob on it for a couple of months but found his skin went very dry. It was a lovely feed, and I was very happy with the ingredients and the lack of bloody molasses was a joy, he enjoyed it but having it delivered was a pain and for the costs I've found a cheaper balancer than his coat looks amazing on, they deliver it for free (we buy alot of feed for the whole yard from them) and he's enjoying eating it.

I've recently tried it with no success. I had it delivered as my supplier couldn't guarantee when they could get it in & it certainly puts the price up!

I tried Pure Working for my 2 after being given a scoop by a friend to see if they would eat it. It looks like a very 'clean' feed, very natural, and certainly better looking than any mixes I've ever had - well in my eyes anyway!

It started off ok in as much as they ate it, but after a week or so they both started eating it slower and slower and were just pushing it around. By the end of week 2 one wouldn't touch it and the other was just picking at it.

I had a very similar experience when I tried Simple Systems so although we think it's a good idea to feed them healthy feeds they do seem to prefer something a bit sweeter - like children in a sweet shop I guess :)

The only other thing I would say is that I posted on here before trying it and I had a lot of PMs from people who didn't have much good to say. I decided to make my own mind up and feed it anyway but it just didn't work!

I've been feeding pure feed for about 11 months now to 3 horses and coulnd't be happier...i buy direct, so no supply issues. it is ecpensive to buy, but i worked it out compared to what i was feeding with supplements and it works out cheaper as the only supplement i now need is a joint one for my old mare and i only feed about 2kg per day to each horse (had been feeding nearly twice that in volume with other feed before). all bar 1 grubbed up immediately from the start. my younger horse was more picky and was wondering where all his suggary gunk went, but he kept eating and looks so much better off for the better feed now. and he used to wolf his feed, where as now he eats it at a civilised rate! thanks for pointing out the 50% off on facebook - hadn't spotte dthat! ordered this evening. :)

Had my 5 yr old on the PF racing for 3 days now and i must say he enjoys every last drop of it! Still adding propell at the moment as unsure until he has his blood test next week if his iron levels are high enough.

He doesnt miss a drop of the food though and i have to say it is the "cleanest" looking feed i have ever seen!

Are the oats in it naked oats or full oats with all their coating?

I swapped my eventer on to it this year - and he's looking fabulous, loves the feed and has gone from being a bit picky after ulcers to demolishing it!

I feed Pure Easy at half the recommended rate, horse lives out and I just add Ulcer Calm to it. So he gets a scoop a day. He's eventing at BE100 level, and has been placed several times. His coat looks amazing on it, he's very shiny! I like the fact that it has all the things I want to feed a horse prone to ulcers (alfalfa, oat straw, no molasses, no cereal grains, balancer, low starch etc) and I don't have to have several different feeds. It works out much cheaper than what he was on (TopSpec balancer, mollichaff high fibre alfalfa and speedibeet) as well. I agree, supply was a problem - but the new website seems to have sorted that issue.

My horse loves pure feeds and she had become a fussy eater previously.

Her coat is the best its ever been, and so is her weight.

MASSIVE thumbs up to Pure Feeds!

My very fussy horse has been on Pure Feeds (condition and balancer) for about ten days, and so far so good, he is licking his bowl clean.

Seems to meet with his approval, and provide everything he needs, and is saving me money. Fab.

And customer service has been very good :-)

Mine has been on Pure Working for 6 weeks now and OMG what a difference! His coat is so shiny and he has a consistant amount of energy! I am so glad I swapped on to it. I love the fact I can get it delivered to my door and it has everything in one bag. Saves lots of time and money!

My 5 year old looks absolutely fantastic on this, been on for about 3 weeks now! Super shiny coat even with a clip, brighter and alert eyes, all this even while he is suffering a virus!

And just got another 25% off voucher from them too!
