I would be interested in hearing people's opinions on this feed range. It looks fantastic - molasses free, fibre based, low starch - and as I understand it, you just feed from one bag AND you can order it online and have it delivered.

I have fed it before - it was on offer at the time so I tried a few bags and my very fussy TB DID actually eat it - she even seemed to enjoy it... which is more than can be said for her present hoof friendly diet... we are still struggling with it :(

Who else feeds it?
What does everyone think to it?

Yes, I have put all the horses on the yard on it. One has the pure working, and sometimes the pure racing if he is lacking oomph. The others are all on the Pure Easy. I used the Pure stud mix for a while for the mare and foal. The only horse that is a bit fussy with it is my own mare. She often leaves it because she much prefers haylage. I sometimes have to add half a scoop of allen and page mix to make her eat it so she will eat her prascend pill. They have been on it a year now and are looking good!

Personally, I love it as it is so easy to feed. They are having less volume now because I am not feeding a chaff and mix, which is good too. It seemed more expensive at first, but really it isn't as you feed less volume. I buy mine from www.efeed.com as it works out cheaper than buying direct from Pure feeds so long as you order 20+ items to keep delivery down to £6.

I used it for a while, but I found it worked out expensive. It was quite handy having it delivered, but as I have to go to the feed merchants to get other things there wasn't much advantage in the delivery.

My horse was on it. I like it as a feed, and he loved it.
Principal behind it is great. Only thing to note is the oil source is soya, which is some choose/prefer not to feed (doesn't bother me though).
Only reason I stopped was because my hose has bizarre allergies, one of which being linseed (contianed in this feed).

I thought efeed can gone out of business?

I thought this too...
Have just checked on their site and it would be about £5-6 cheaper to order from them... but was there also some problem with them sending out feed that was near its best before date? Or was that someone else?

Our YO has switched all ours to it.

My horse likes it but then he eats anything. The only problem is that my horse only needs about a quarter of the recommended amount - he is a very good doer. So that means he needs to have a vitamin balancer thing which I am looking into.

Annoyingly I am on part livery so feed is included, but because he doesn't need the full whack of Pure Easy I will have to pay the extra to have the balancer. Joys of a good doer.

I have a sugar and cereal intolerant horse and an aged lami prone pony and 2 good doer natives. I fed the intolerant horse A & P feed last winter which worked out expensive and I was adding micronised linseed also. I ended up feeding some 3 different feeds to my horses and it took so much time making them up.

I rang and spoke to Lucinda at Pure Feeds and she has recommended Pure working for the big allergic one and little lami aged and Pure Balance for the natives. The thing I liked is that firstly the need to add nothing else supplement wise and secondly the fact that they are basically all based on the same products , so I could add Pure Working if needed to the natives diet.

I have my order, but haven't started using it yet :) I bought well over 20 bags of feed and 3 4kg bags of Pure Treats so the saving I would have made through efeed was only £1.45. However that efeed looks great - I could get chicken feed etc through them also :)

Could you not persuade the YO to get the Pure Balance for your horse? It's around £22 for a bag which lasts a 500kg horse for 40 days.

I feed my gangly growing WB it , pure condition but he started to lose weight so I rang them and they said 2kg a day was maintenance amount and to up it to 3kg a day which I have done and he is looking better but I'm also feeding linseed now too. I like it because its very handy , all he needs in one sack. Prob cost me around £60 a month to feed him it.

I think I will look into it. Think we only have two types at the moment, Pure Easy and Pure Fibre. Although maybe there is also a conditioning type one - not 100% sure.

I will have a look on the website and speak to YO this weekend. Have to tread carefully though - yard politics!

I was recommended Pure by the team over at Jason Webb's yard - I sent a pony over to him and she looked fantastic on her return, having been fed on Pure.

Some of our ponies are on Pure Easy, and a few on Pure Condition - which is especially good for the older ones who need help with maintaining a good topline. They look great and their coats are gleaming with health - and I'd happily recommend it to people.

The only negative was that a few of them didn't like it when we started introducing it, but they are both very fussy with their food, and do eat it now we mix in sugarbeet...!

My two have been on it for about 6 weeks now, one on pure balance and the other pure easy. The tb is on pure easy and in 6 weeks is holding his weight much better than last year and seems to love it. Also like it as its so easy to feed even my un horsey mother in law managed to give them their tea one evening
