Otherwise, I think it's great to see the Queen still riding, and I hope I can still scramble aboard a pony at over 80! :)

I have images of you racing round my head now....aged 80+ on a little grey highland pony, brandishing a bow/sword/violin.....:D

i just love the fact she wears jods and boots, it's almost cute:eek: As for the hat, her head and her choice and quite frankly i think she'd tell one where to jolly well trot off to if you told her she had to wear one!. I doubt very much she is a role model for the younger generation, can you honestly see any young girl thinking ohh i want to be like an 86 yr old grey haired woman;):p

the queen is tiny so probably doesn't help with the ponies size - I should imagine he looks a little larger with her on. Plus her parkland, her head and quite frankly if she's got to the age she has without a hat on she's probably not too concerned. Even though maybe she should be wearing hi viz - otherwise how will the air ambulance ever find her!!

Brilliant, just brilliant, she's outside riding enjoying her horse. Good on her. I always kit myself up because its my body. All adults are responsible for their own actions so if she'd rather not wear a hat so be it. I hope my body is fit enough and my mind able enough when I'm that age!

The Queen can do anything she bloody well likes, cause she is The Queen 'innit!!

I love The Queen and Phillip, but I wouldn't consider them role models by any means...and I don't think there can be more than a handful of (questionably normal) kids and teenagers, heck, even adults, who would emulate her riding style in similar wardrobe choices.

Give her a break, shes THE QUEEN :D

Do you mean I should take my new protective head scarves back to the shop? :(
