I decided not to go for a hack because the cloud was very low and where we hack would have been foggy. Plus, it's been chucking it down for days and i didn't fancy getting caught out in it on the moors.

So out came the jumps for the first time since March :)

First i had to catch the little sod though  He's never bad to catch, so i don't know what was wrong with him... but i was chasing him round for half an hour! But he wasn't getting out of work so even though i felt like i had been at the gym by the time he was tired enough to give up, we tacked up and went in.

Was so fun! Just put up a really tiny straight, and 2 poles on the circle, because steering tends to go haywire when jumps are up and we need practice. But he was a superstar and we managed to get some fab work, on the flat and over the poles and jumps. I'm so pleased with him, he tried so hard for me, even with his bestfriend colt hanging over the fence watching from his field.

I used to hate jumping, who would have thought a daft ginger Arab could give me so much confidence. :D The jumps are going higher next week, and i'm actually excited with no hint of fear.

Sorry for the self indulgent post, feel free to add any of your happy posts from today. Oh, and have some choccies and wine :D

Thank you :) I even stayed with him comfortably and didn't get left behind/sock him in the mouth when he jumped it 4x higher than it was, as per usual. It's nice when things click.

No one else must have had a good ride today :p

Yay! Well done you two :D :D :D Hot choccy will all the trimmings :D :D :D

I had a good day... Saw the neds for the first time since last Sunday :D :D :D

Dizz came up to me in the field :D, okay, not at a gallop (think more a stately 'So-where-the-heck-have-you-been-all-week' type walk, but hey, it was better than nothing :D

Then Friend and her daughter had a good jumping lesson :D

Then Friend rode New Lad :D :D :D

So yes, a good day :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Yay for good days. I know it's the little things like that which count. It sure beats them galloping away from you for half an hour anyway :p

When's your next jumping session after the last sucess?
