The Royal Three Counties Show roll call

Travelling up Friday and staying over night to compete first thing Saturday morning.

Fantastic! Are yo coming far?

By the way does anyone know exactly why its now called the 'royal' 3counties- and is this a permanent change?

Only coming from North Somerset so about an hour and a half.
This is my first year competing here so no idea why the name addition.

Think the name change is something to do with taking on classes from the defunct Royal Show - but that is just a wild guess, as I can't find anything on the website (no doubt someone else could!)

No, not going this year. Won our class last year - in a bog - so at 15 I thought he could go out on a high note. We have been up and down the line over the years, so I nearly didn't go last year as I didn't want to get further and further down, but due to the conditions he coped best of all against the younger horses.

Plus I have something else to go to on Saturday, so I haven't go to decide what to do. At least the weather is an improvement. I hope to go on Friday to watch.

Good luck to everyone entering.
