I'm looking at getting a made to measure dressage saddle from The Saddle Company. My friend has just had one and is having a few adjustments made (her mare is oddly shaped) and they seem nice. Hers is half leather and half synthetic style. My budget probably wont stretch to be able to afford the full leather ones.

Has anyone got a saddle from them? Good/Bad experiences? PM me if you like

Jo Jo the saddles are great, good value, well made and comfy plus you can adjust and adjust and adjust.

The one thing I would say is that you need to find yourself a good Saddle Company fitter. Im lucky, I have access to two very good ones but Ive heard of a number who are a bit hit and miss.

Yes my friend said she emailed the company and bascially said who is your best saddle fitter so the people who have been coming out come quite a way to her but they have been over 5 times due to the amount of adjustments my friend has been needing and they dont charge a call out fee to do this which is good! I asked her today if its normal to need the saddle adjusted that much and she did assure me that its just her mare that is a problem but it is nice to know they will come out as much as I would want them to!

I have the working hunter one and love it. My boy is a somewhat strange shape (long but fairly high withers) and isn't in the best condition as he comes in and out of work due to frequently injuring himself somehow or other. I got him a SC saddle as he therefore changes shape a lot and I wanted something adjustable. I've had mine for over 6 months and it looks brand new, it fits him well and he moves so much better it. Also, as it is half synthetic it is much lighter for him, he is 16 now and this will theoretically be his saddle for good, meaning that when he is older he will really appreciate the fact that it's lightweight. CBAnglo from this forum fitted mine - she is v good as in the last two years I've had about 6 saddlers and various saddles and she is the only person to have actually fitted me a decent saddle! Would definitely recommend her.
