Found a really nice lady to buy the icy last week, she's been out and schooled, then out for a hack, then brought the instructor for a try. Price was agreed and her vet came to do the vetting and you can guess what happened next. The horse thats never been lame slipped, over on the wet concrete during the first trot up and hobbled through the rest of the vetting. Cue my eyes welling up and her vet having to console me. The good news is after a couple of days rest, my vet checked her out and there's nothing wrong with her, but her vet wont recheck for two weeks! At least I'm going to be able to have a couple more weeks with her but i do think someone upstairs is punishing me for something. I may have to give being teetotal a try, or spend the next two days searching for a four leaf clover!

Oh that is a shame :(. Unfortunately these things can happen, and they usually will at the worst possible time. If the vet saw it happen then I'm sure it shouldn't cause a problem for when they will come back and re-do the vetting. If you've got a buyer with any sense they will see that these things do happen and will be patient. But I know it's frustrating

It is such a difficult time when you are selling them, and things like that happening only make it more stressful IME
