I’ve blown out bears coat twice! And he is now heading to the groomers today to get the final bits of fluff out and a good brush!
I will attach a video here of him getting brushed AFTER I blew out his coat and he still lost so much hair 😂 I think he’s about a kg lighter after this whole process

Gorgeous!

My GSD doesn’t have a big moult, she has patches all year round. Is she abnormal?
Samoyed have an extra layer of hair! They have three layers 🫣 and as my boy isn’t neutered he has one big shed a year coming into summer but does shed a little all year but nothing huge!
females shed differently to males is she neutered? I don’t have a GSD myself but hoping to get one ☺️

Yes, neutered. I’m relieved she’s not too odd 😂

My son really wanted a Samoyed. I take my dog to a muddy horse field twice a day. Can you imagine what it would look like! The compromise was a nice fluffy, black and tan GSD, who at least doesn’t look filthy, even though she is all winter.

Ah yeah neutered actually makes a big difference to their shedding cycles!
Oh bear loves the horses! I bought a blower and just blow all the dirt right off him would highly recommend! Blows all the sand out of his hair too when he’s in the arena, I taught him to show jump 😂😂

You’re kidding right?? We are mid major moult on my young GSD. My old boy has a gorgeous shiny soft coat and doesn’t shed much at all. The young lad moults all year with extreme moults in spring and autumn. I brushed him Saturday and I’m still eating it now. Enough came out to make another dog. Both it and dust are falling everywhere like a ticker tape parade. Combined with the mud that comes in every time they go for a wee, my house is filthy at present, to the point I’m not sure I can be bothered to clean it until things improve 😂

Oh Samoyeds are incredibly sociable it’s my main problem with trying to train him off leash (he is much better now but I still put him back on lead as he’s unreliable unfortunately) he wants to play with every dog and every person 😅 a little to the point of stupid even if a dog is growling at him he thinks he can make friends with them 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have the sneaking suspicion that due to his thick hair he can’t feel warning bites so just thinks everyone is playing
I would say he can be annoying to other dogs though as he always just wants to be right next to them. He even likes the vet! Runs right in to get all the pets
