The stable is no longer empty, introducing Andy...

Sorry, not my type at all! Why have you bought a 14.2hh? Surely this will limit what you can do with him?!

So what if hes 14.2??? I know plenty of adults that ride ponies!! They're great fun! far better than horses!! Just wish I didnt have to wear rollerblades when riding them!! :P

first of all can I say he looks lovely and I hope you have hours/days/monthsand yrs of fun with him xxx

But secondly who are we to judge why someone buys a 14.22hh - ummmmmm its really depends on the person, thier size and build and there are a lot of adults out there who have amazing fun with thier 14.2's and under - not everyone wonts a 16HH plus - I personally look a bit small on my 16.3hh lad but look good on my 14.3 sec D - so hun you just get out there and have FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN :)

He looks lovely and what a sweet eye he has. I have a 15h Haflinger and she is perfect for me and I'm 5ft 8. Judge for yourself!
I ride my brother-in-laws giants from time to time and it is like riding a giraffe!

Happy bonding. :)
P.S I am not fat it was bl.... cold.

Thank you for backing me up! Totally agree with this :p

No problem! ponies rule!! And ditto what others have said - Just go and have fun!!!! No matter what silly people say on here about his height! After all, its just a number!!!

Best of luck hun! And more piccies soon please!! :D

babymare- soo true :) like I said previously I'm 5ft very petite and would look ridiculous on anything over 15hh :p

minime- she is a lovely colour, I'm not a fan of halfingers but she seems to have converted me :)

not at all! ponies are the best, can turn their hoof to anything- not everyone wants a huge beast of a horse! better not mention that im 5'6 and ride a 13.2hh
its such a shame there is this attitude some people adopt of "if its a pony its inferior to a horse"
horses for courses ;)

Looks lovely :)

I hope things work out well, and you guys are a match made in heaven.
You deserve it after the heatbreak you have been through with koko.

Will look forward to updates on how ur getting on :)

As for size, my lad is 14.2 1/2hh - I dont normally do above 14.2hh but I let him off the half inch lol.
We've all different tastes and needs, I love cobs, and dont want to ride a big horse, and at 5'2" - why the hell should I !!
Your small and light enought to ride a 13.2hh, probably even a 12.2hh lol, so you just stick with what your happy with :D x

He looks lovely, I hope you have loads of fun with him!

I bought a 14.2 this summer after 13 years on horses. I think a few people on my yard thought I'd gone nuts, but this week I've had five different people saying they want him/ want to swap/ etc... :D

If you have found a new friend you are happy with, well done you, that's fantastic. :)

He's gorgeous, I am so happy that you have found a new friend.

I'm thinking Phoebe Buckley and Little Tiger, who clearly proves size doesn't matter at all, who in their right minds would think that it does.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing all about your new experiences together.

He looks lovely, I hope you have lots of fun.

And if everyone liked the same sort of horse then there would be a huge mahoosive shortage and you might never have got a look-in, so don't let negative comments get you down!

There is nothing wrong with having a 14.2hh or smaller. I'm an adult I have a 12.2hh, 14.1hh and a 16hh but I have done so much more with my 14.1hh than my big girl, ponies are great :)

Kokopelli - Andy looks lovely I hope you have fun with him :)

Teddy O'Connor was 14.1, or 14.2
A lady called Karen O'Connor did a bit of eventing on him, I think ;)
Very pleased for you, have fun!

So pleased that you have found a very suitable pony to be your new friend :) He sounds as if he will be just the ticket for next years outings. This looks like the good luck you were due :)

PMSL @DH1 what a spot on answer to the "adults shouldnt ride ponies" ppl - that so so tickled me :) he he he he he he what more proof do you need that size doesnt matter but ummm cough cough sometimes does he he e he he he he but im being naughty now ****** slaps on hand and tells self to stop*******

awwh He looks stunning!! Good luck with him :)

And as for short horses...Bindaree won the grand national and he is only 15hh, as is pheobie buckleys little tiger that pings around burghley ;)

He looks lovely - just my type!

I am over 16 and have just down-sized to a 148. Having done PC intermediate eventing, he has more scope than I'll ever need! He's great fun, lively but safe and much cheaper to feed than my previous horses. I took him out cubbing a couple of weeks ago and a couple of ladies said that my pone and I were the best suited combination out!

Best of luck with him!
