Well two weeks on and the vet came out thismorning to remove the staples and all being well the stitches too.
The staples came out and that leg looked great....
Then the vet took every other stitch out of the other leg and as long as it all held together the lot could come out and hey presto, they all came out YAY
Im soooo pleased and so was the vet, she said the after care has been fantastic, which did make me feel rather good I have to say!
As being 8 months pregnant, I did find it qiute tricky changing the dressings every day considering I have lost the ability to bend!!!
So her legs have all been cleaned up and smothered in Manuka honey and the leg that was stitched still needs to be covered as there is still some fleshy parts, so we need to be careful that doesnt get infected, but the stapled leg can be left open now (also smothered in honey!)
So tomorrow Coryn can finally go out in the field for half an hour, but with dressings on both legs and boots on top.
The last two weeks have been tuff but I have to say, have gone really quickly.
So we've got till the weekend to make sure she gets on ok back out in the field, then Im on maternity leave from the yard!! How the hell Im gonna cope not going up the yard I just dont know and I have warned everyone that I will be a complete pain texting and ringing all the time to make sure my babies are ok!!!
