The terrible things we do to our horses

Following on from the Ellen Whitaker post, does it make anyone else just so sad what we do to abuse our animals? I'm no bunny hugger but some of the things you hear about has got to make you wonder about the awful things that go on. The stuff about the horses kept in a blacked out environment just stunned me. How do people think these things up.

Yes, i am disgusted on a regular basis at what i see/hear people do to their horses. I wish animal abuse was penalised as seriously as child abuse

I hate it, a lot of the punishment I see should be aimed at the rider not the horse, and the punishement is delt with long after the event, how is the poor animal of any kind supposed to know what the hell is going on.

It is unnecessary, and I see it as a complete lack of respect to a partnership, one that we should be honered to be a part of.

The only spiteful animal in the world is the human being, because we forget we are still an animal.

Sorry to sound a little bit of a hippy

but we should all remember they are only doing that job, whatver it maybe, because we asked them too, be that dog, cat, or horse.


I am on my soap box becasue there a a couple of girls that go riding with us who seem to think it is their god given right, and the horses are he exact same as a push bike

there are so many evil people but there are many good ones , the only blessing is that the evil ones dont keep their horses long before they see a quick buck, and sell hopefully to someone nice, it makes me puke what some selfish idiots do to animals and if anyone hurt my horse i would do the same to their kid , then they would know what its like
