Hi everyone,

I just thought I'd let you all know that the thieves are out in the North Lincs/South Yorks area!! On Tuesday afternoon 7 saddles and 3 bridles were stolen from a livery yard in Westwoodside near Doncaster.
One of the saddles was mine so I'm a little upset about it, I would hate for this to happen to someone else on the forum because I didn't let you know.
If you live in the area please make sure your tack is safe and secure in your house or tackroom and that you don't leave any rugs or anything hanging around.

Thanks guys,
Red

The buggers seem to be out and aboutr everywhere atm. They are trying to steal horses in Warwickshire atm, Studley area last week. Also after quads and tools. Keep it at home if you can....

They're horrible aren't they :/ Thankfully they left the horses and trailers alone! Mine was only down there for the afternoon so I could ride after school as my Mum was at work so couldn't take me, otherwise we would still have it

they need locking up im in sheffield/barnsley border there was a green freelander up at our field today when i walked down they drove off not sure who it was but iv made sure all my stuff is home tonight could be a innocent person but better be safe

I'm looking after 2 ponies for some friends while they're away and someone's been in there yard using the mini dumper thing, you can see all the tracks and the machine has moved! There was some electric wire connected to a floodlight and they've taken that too! I'm having a bad week :/ I loved my GFS... They've got no consideration for anyone have they, sorry am still a peeved about it

A freind of mine is away at present and i am looking after her horses as well, last week gentlemen from the travelling comunity, turned up at the electric gates and pressed to get on saying they had lost a horse and please can they come in and check if the horse was in there, DOH NO.
Funny enough at 2.30 the next morning all the yard alarms started going off.

Thanks Cobbysmum, did you hear from Elaine Hughes? She's my riding intructor and knows most horsey people

People are saying they've seen them driving around, we're not sure it's them yet :/

They mite try the ' got any old batteries' line, we had some round our yard recently. I put on my snooty voice and told them 'we don't have things like that here!!' Please be careful, take it home if you can but don't challage these people. They don't give a #### about you they just want your stuff. I always take my tack home but ov have to leave lots at the yard. If they took my lorry I would be devestated!!

Absolute swines aren't they? We take all our tack home now due to so many thefts. It's a right pain having to do it but it's the hassle if things get stolen. What a shame about your GFS, hope your insurance company settle quickly and you manage to get another nice one.

Indeed they are!! My OH had his farrier van stolen, the next day, the farm where my dad is, was broken into, tractors taken, horse boxes broken into, every single tool gone, speakers out of vans/lorries, the lot!!

Would love to catch em and feed em there own B*llocks x
