Standing outside the gate with horsey whilst she munches through a bunch of hay. Toes numb, nose numb, freezing arse.

Going to the bottom field to feed horsey because 1) she doesnt want to walk through the very little mud that we have by the gate and 2) she wants to see the herd while she eats who happen to be down the bottom.

Breaking ice in water troughs with bare hands. OUCH!!!!!!!

I broke the ice in our water troughs yesterday with my foot. Didn't realise I had a small hole in my boot, so my foot was then surrounded by icy water!

I then took out the bits of ice with my hands too!

We must be mad!!

Evil cold weather has frozen ground pipe to outside tap at stables water has had to eb shut of at mains on sunday and were still awaiting repair which menas filling my 5gallon container at home and luggin into car and across stbale yard to fill my water up everyday and i have a thirsty horsey he drinks most of that every day. Breaking ice on troughs and fishing it out, working by head torch light on the rare ocassions the generator refuses to fire up. Ensuring horsey is snugly and warm dried off and comfortable while i get filthy and wet lol
