Decided I could no longer stand the pain of the finger so ended up taking the last bit of bandage off. I now know what was digging in and making me have those sharp pains through my middle finger.

Its looks bloody awful and at first made me feel a little queasy to say the least.

So guys if you decide to do an unexpected dismount, please try not to break your finger like I did or you may end up with something like this in your finger.

So at first it looked like this:

and now it looks like this:

Heck of a place to have pierced

.

Sorry, couldn't resist

. That looks pretty sore, poor you. Hope it heals up soon.

cheers Tia - i know I went through a stage of wanting lots of piercings. My tongue was painful but this is far worse than that!
It is sore and its not if you get what I mean. If i catch it it bloody kills, but when I was cleaning it up so I could re bandage it it didnt

Becki - i was under the impression I was having it pinned and plated but when I was released from hospital I found out that they had K wired it instead. The surgeon had given me a few options before surgery which I when I chose to have it plated but he mustve changed his mind. He did tell me though about wiring it and that the wires would be poking out through my skin - thats why I opted for pins.

yes but not much. As you can see the small mark on my middle finger - well its actually a hole where the lower wire nicely sat! when I took the bandage off there wasnt much padding at all around the wires.

Been to the chemist who has sold me corn plasters

to use till I go to the fracture clinic. Ive (well mum has done it for me) cut one side and placed it around the wires, then put another on top. Then bandaged around it. Its as comfy as owt now. No pain whatsoever

I hated looking at those pics you posted....but couldn't help myself, far too curious. Huge hugs and hope it heals extremely fast so you're well again soon. You'll need to book yourself into some kind of stunt school so you can learn to fall off with more finess!

sorry if they made you feel a bit ill, but they dont look very nice do they? I was really surprised when I took the bandage off. It wasnt what I was expecting.

like the stunt school idea. I think its cos shes so big - thats why I hurt myself. I think im going to invest in some very good sticky bum jod, some ,velcro and super glue, to make sure it doesnt happen again
