The OH has scored SERIOUS brownie points today...... Went and fed / hay-ed / watered the horses so that I could have a lie in, then on his way back he bought the sunday papers too.....

Have just spent the last two hours tucked up in bed without having to face the hurricane that is blowing past my door

The only thing to spoil it was the dog snoring beside me.....

Anyone else manage to score a treat like this today?

Well, sort of in my case. We had a very long day yesterday, up at 5.30am, back at 6.30pm and 6 hours driving in total to do a PC competition. Very unusual for us, so we're all really tired today. I let the children have a lie in for once, and drove round to the stables in my nightie to let the ponies out, then came back to bed. I'M HAVING A DAY OFF TODAY!!! (Will get up later, much later...)

No lie in for me. I always get up at the usual time [6am], cycle to the yard and am their for 7. Horsey had a day off, I did all my jobs got back home by 8.30 and went back to bed! Scotsmare I think we would all like a OH like yours who lets you have a lie in and tells you to buy another horse!

well i should add mine was at the yard with me at 11.30pm last night.
there was a wedding party right next to us (like 20 metres away) who decided they would like fireworks set off at 11.45pm
poor horses thought it was world war 3. i admit i nearly jumped out of my skin they were so loud.
thankfully the horses were ok and the old shetland didn't drop dead, which was in the back of my mind (he's at least 40).
no lie in this morning tho, but i should get 1 tomorrow
