Shooting update!!

All has been going very well, drives all very successful although this easterly wind is just no good to man nor beast and this week could have gone better, although the guns still enjoyed their days.

Maisey and Kensa! One of the drives is based around our kennels so i always bring pups out to see the banging, rather than hearing and freaking out! She had a little run (i knew there was nothing to pick - Kensa had made sure of that!!)

Fab pics - but who shot the white phezzie!!:eek:? Did they have to buy the first round at the pub!?

My OH often comes down to Cornwall as he has a client (Teagle machinery) down there - I might have to come with him one day and come beating! It looks fab countryside - and you have a beaters wagon!:eek: We have to walk everywhere on our shoot (usually around 10-12 miles on an average day!)
 
You'd better lock her away before she gets spirited off;)

Wish I'd got some pics of Otto with his phessies yesterday, I was so proud! Both runners, which I was slightly chuffed about as I think a cock bird scratched him last time and scared him. One escaped when I went to take it and he fetched it again! Bless him!

Jake is looking scrummy as usual! Do you fine for White phessies? It's 50 quid here!!:eek:

You're more than welcome to come down. We're shooting 4 or 5 days (including Saturday) until the end of the season i think!

No pubs involved (unfortunately!) it's too Commercial now. It's single malt in the drawing room for the guns in the main house and the beaters room for us! Still very fun :D

I'll pm you my number so if you're ever down, gimme a shout!
 
Oooh I don't mind a good single malt - sounds great. Unfortunately I don't think I will come down with OH this season as I can only go with him during school holidays (the joys of being a teacher!) and he has no plans to go to Teagle's this Xmas holiday (as we are away for most of it). I might have to come down next season - Purdey might even be trained by then:rolleyes:
 
Nickijem, are you sure that Henry and I will be no trouble? Cos I am pretty sure we can come on the 11th! But we are both very inexpert and novicey, and Henry was making noise between drives when we got kidnapped the other week:o I am hoping he will chill out and shut up as he gets used to it, I know it is not a good thing for him to be doing:o

I don't want us to take the shine off anyone's day!:o
 
Spudlet - I'm sure you'll be fine. I will just check with OH that we are actually shooting on that day - just because it's on the calendar, it doesn't always mean it's happening!!:rolleyes:

Oh lovely pics, about time to we havnt had many of the SA crew yet this season! I love snakey Jakey hes so handsome, please parcel him up and send him to me and Kirst you send Otto too and then I will have a lovely jubbly pair of handsome spangles :D
Me and Flors are back out tomorrow...YAY....I hope its not snowing though!
Will try and remember to take piccies this time ;)

Thanks Cayla!! They love their work! When they see me dressed up in me tweeds in the mornings they go mad jumpin and leaping!! :rolleyes::D

Carey - ummmmmm you can borrow her briefly but you can't have her! Like i said to Gina, my life without Kensa would be like loosing my right arm. She's my girl!!! :D:D

Otto has started to cotton on to the 'we're going beating' bag that gets packed the night before, he went mental on Wednesday morning when I put my boots on!

Amazing how quick they learn don't you think?! If only training was picked up as quick ... 'selective' dogs these spangles lol
