So sorry to hear that. She is a lucky girl to be so well looked after and I think you are right to make this decision now rather than allow her to become poorly.
If there's quality of life there now, my advice is to let her see out the summer - as you said she is happy and pain free at the moment.
A lot of people questioned my mental state after taking on a 26 year old, but she has given me so much in the couple of years I have had her. She has given me so much confidence and love, she owes me nothing, I owe her everything.
