On Thursday. I just have to persuade them to let me pick it up from work as holiday is a bit out of the question as I don't actually have any and I have to get a friend who also works to do the driving as well. Hope they don't mind. Hurray though. I have missed her and she has been gone absolutely ages!

Oh goody! I wondered whether you'd got her home on Saturday:D

FWIW I'll be coming back past on Thursday evening after picking Betsy up if your lift falls though:D

thanks j_t. Lift is sorted I hope. Assuming lovely junior vet is true to her word of come whenever. She did say it so now I'm going to hold her to it. In a nice way of course. She's a darling

She's been in having a lump off her hock Frumpoon and she has been gone for 2 and a half weeks now. Which is a whole week longer than we were expecting her to be away for. Nothing's simple with a TB in your life!

My TB was gone for two months in hospital last year at one time (nearly three months in total with three separate stays). She was 3 hrs away so I couldn't even visit. By the time they phoned me to tell me to come and collect her, I'd almost forgotten about her.

Good luck with all the box rest you'll undoubtably have!

O bless you. Mine is only just down the road so I've been in every few days to say hello. She utterly uninterested to see me though so you probably didn't miss much not visiting.

And yep. Box rest. I'm looking forward to mucking out twice a day every day again. Will be worth it to have her around again though. BH will be ecstatic!

That is NOT the reaction of a sensible, reasoned, scientific mind! Superstitious nonsense :D - fingers crossed ;)

Great news though, hope it goes to plan!

Possibly not but last week when I said she was coming home it all went pear shaped. Just coincidence I know but still.....

I'm paranoid about jinxing - no matter how irrational and unscientific it is - hence the mocking of myself with "fingers crossed" on the end... So yes, I'll keep them crossed and make sure I touch some wood next time I can reach some too ;)

im forever saluting magpies - just in case!

I hadn't realised she hadn't come home yet, good luck with the box rest. Murph has being doing "10m sq patch in the field rest" for the last 10 weeks and its not been fun.

I hope you salute as you say that!!

Good news jesstick xx

AS I say it? Good heavens no - I'd look mad saluting at a magpie whilst holding a conversation with it

I salute during the cheerful greeting, relax during the pleasantries and salute again as I wish him good day. Completely normal! :D

Sorry for magpie-related thread hijacking, Jesstickle!
