Has anyone seen this? I'd heard about it but have just actually seen the interview with his owner on TV.
Went missing after bolting with his lead attached before Christmas and was only found by drone 12 days later, He'd got tangled up in a hedge. Unable to move of course had been unable to find any thing at all to eat or drink.
The Drone used was a thermal, I had thought search drones relied on sight so that was interesting, the initial sighting was an orange dot.
The poor dog is very skinny now but i think set to make a full recovery. The whole story made me cry!
How utterly terrifying. I heard about a lab getting stuck like this for 3 days after bolting on her lead and this is actually what spurred my tracker purchase for Bertie.

I've seen the use of a drone suggested on missing dog posts but just assumed it a bit of a long shot not realising they are thermal. Sadly not allowed in all areas but what a fantastic resource. OH told me that we are not allowed drones here being so close to military airspace but I'm not sure if that's true as one of the guys on the farm took some great harvest time photo's with one.- unless of course there are drones and then there are drones and his hobby type doesn't go a high or something
We used a thermal imaging camera when the cat was missing, Its amazing how much wildlife is around in the dark! It was only when we zoomed in on each object we could see it was a rabbit or hare usually.
