OK so I'd NEVER sell him but I know he's worth more than I paid for him, I also know I can't afford to insure him for anymore, but I am curious how much he is worth?

15hh 8yr old Welsh D, schooling Elementary & competing Novice, has 8 points from 3 outings but this is because I don't have transport (otherwise we'd be out much more!!) very trainable attitude, 3 good paces, big welsh movement and lovely rhythmic trot. Has a good jump, but is green as its something I don't really ever work on.

He is anyones ride, hacks alone or in company, excellent in traffic, open fields, but never hunted. Can be stubborn to load and not a great traveller (really needs to face backwards).

Like I say its just curiosity really. Thanks everyone :D:D

up north I'd say about £3500 to £4k. depends on how green his jump is IMO. he's lovely looking, reminds me of my old lad :( Gosh i miss him.

this is him at 11 about 3 months after learning to jump

welshies tend to pick the jumping up quick anyway, they tend to just jump a bit big and welsh for a while ;) :) from the ones I have seen.

TBC, I dont know, I'd prob say £4k but going from what a friend sold her super safe, anyones hack newfie with some BD points for easily more if someone liked him :) (and she had never really jumped him)

He looks just like a slimmer Frankie! i'd be interested to know his breeding, to see if there are any similarities :)

Out of interest, how's he not a good traveller? I had a Welsh Cob who took years to "learn" how to travel properly - interested to know if yours did the same things as if its a Welsh Cob thing!

I sold my one for £5k. He was amazing but had to be confidently handled.

He is a nice looking boy and good bloodlines too. You have to factor in the recession, thus I would guess around £4k for a nice cob gelding, depends if you are more desperate to sell or not, as opposed to holding out for more. However, I am not good at assessing when it comes to then being a BD horses/ponies as its not my thing so I may be way off.
