The wierd horse world!

My sister put an advert in our local riding club news letter for a traffic proof cob (this was before she found our beautiful new girl) This tea time a woman rang to say she had a mare that might fit the bill, bought it for her daughter but it is a bit much for the daughter, SO sister said no, I don't need one now, but our next door neighbour is looking for one. nipped next door with the details and the neighbour is going to ring the seller. It just sruck me what a wierd and interlinked world the horse world is.

I found my lovely arab gelding kind of like that too. Word of mouth can be very useful at times.

A friend went to view him as the proverbial 'experienced other' with someone else, he wasn't suitable for the girl. My friend phoned me to say "Get your butt over there quicktime I've found you a horse!" I wasn't even looking for one!

It's amazing isn't it? I just fell about laughing at the fact that it was the person who lives literally next door! When we brought the new girl home on Saturday, because the waggon was too big for the lane we had to lead her off the road and it was as if she was visiting royalty, with two of the horsey neighbours coming out to see her.
