I need some advice please :)

After a lesson today in the double bill went exceptionally well, and once back into snaffle instructor commentated on how much the double helped him and suggested i ride him more often in at home.

I think the fact that my double (extra full!) is black yet the reins are pony sized brown shows how much I use it :p

Currently the briddoon is the NS team up with small rings and just a bog standard weymouth I was wondering if I should get a different weymouth that might be more comfortable for him. Here my experience definately runs out!!

So could you wonderful people please help me and teach me about the different types? i literally have no idea where to start!

He can have a habit of flipping his tounge over but he hasn't done it in a while in the snaffle (NS verdinbrand and grackle) and never in double. I *think* he has quite a large tounge and a short mouth (ie. its a long way from poll to mouth!!) apparantly for a horse his size :)

Any and all advice very much appreciated! :)

What about just using a rugby pelham with two reins rather than the double bridle in the traditonal sense. They go equally as well without the two bits and the action is pretty much the same.

I don't think they are allowed in dressage :) He does go well in the double, it is just more about what weymouth would suit him best :)
