lush, I looked to get a suffolk before i ended up with my mare, but the one I saw had been used as a brood mare loads and she had a dipped belly and no manners, so i knew I would hold her, but they are lush, let us know how you get on xx

She is after an arab in its teens, mare or gelding, not grey and between 14'3(poss 14'2) and 15'1
Not the tallest order. But hey if you do spot one drop me a pm. Has to be Southwest though im not sure i fancy another drive like today.

I dont know if i will show her. Maybe a few local veteran classes or something. I dont know much about it. Also i dont want too stress her out too much.
She will have a lovely quiet retirement with us.
Her owners were worried she would end up bieng sold from pillar to post in the sales. I hope they are not anymore

I believe she was from down here a long time ago. I remember we talked about him and i am fairly sure she wasnt one of his. Who ever owned her sold up almost ten years ago

Fantastic - I am a Rare breed breeder in France and love Suffolks.
Does she have Stansgate Nefertitti in her pedigree - I knew this filly when she was a baby - I was 12!! SN is related to a large % of Suffolks today.
Lovely to think an old mare will go to a loving home for life. Good luck.
Should we have a Rare breed section on the forum?

I have not yet seen her pedigree although i will when we pick her up get all paperwork etc. It was such a short visit to try and cram everything into.

Someone i know of shows suffolks when you have her pedigree i could forward it on to her and see if she knows of anything. Im sure her dad breeds them.

That's FAB I saw the earlier posting and I thought the advert smacked of honest and genuine people. However, I was a wee bit worried about her age and stage and what might become of her. But this is a fantastic outcome for her and sounds totally perfect for you too. I'm so happy for you both!

He is definitely wider. She is 16'2 so i think he will top her when he is finshed growing too
