I did think that too!

They should have had it locked away.
I also work for a well known company that deals with money and even on a Sunday would have collected the cash and banked it for them for a very small fraction of what they raised.

Whether the money should have been in a safe or not is neither here nor there imho- the bl**dy scum who stole the money (strangers or not, I have no info on that) should be ashamed of themselves! I am sick of people just helping themselves to other people's stuff, and yes I am speaking from personal experience!

I am afraid i have to agree with the above posters when they said it should have been in a safe and to the poster who said inside job that did cross my mind.

I mean would you if you were responsible for that amount of money for a charity just leave it in an office overnight it would have been with me until it went in to the bank, it is also very sad for all the people who gave money or worked hard to raise it and i am afraid a charity of this size should be more clued up or should have someone who is more up to the job handling the cash.
