Another 2.

1. Can be ridden anywhere, alone or in company, with no fear of tractors, lorries, double decker, buses, trains etc.but visibly shakes when presented with a wide open field as it's agoraphobic!

2. Happy to be ridden anywhere off road but refuses to cross any white line painted on tarmac and leaps 6 foot sideways on hearing water flowing through a road drain.

There are two types of horses.
Those who you build Fort Knox for and nervously hope they might stay where you left them.
And those who need a single strand of electric tape - which isn’t electrified - looped between a few fence poles and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere.

guess which type I have!

I had one who wouldn't cross a piece of electric tape but pulled all the posts out with his teeth so the others could escape ?

There are two types of horses in this world, those that see fencing and eat near it, and those who have to go thru/over/under #grassisalwaysgreener
I've got one that will ever so carefully reach under the electric fence to munch the 1ft she can reach there. Stands alongside it and rotates her head sideways. You'd think doing so would give her a crick in her neck, but I'll be damned if I don't have lovely clear margins around all my fence lines!

The type who will happily plod along right next to/Infront of/behind your friends' horses whilst you have a chat on a nice, relaxing group hack, and the type that will happily launch your friends' horses into the next county if they dare come within a 5-metre distance of them.
