my horse is also grey and lies in his own poo most nights, i wouldn't consider putting a monstrosity like that on him just to keep him clean

That would actually not cover pretty much the only parts my two greys get dirty! One uses his poo pile as a pillow and it gets in his right ear and eyelashes and the other gets a dirty tail (for which he already wears a tail bag).

I think the pyjamas are a prototype. The grey is her favourite model to try stuff on.
