A nice person has shot our cat today. She is the nices cat i know. Some workmen found her at the bottom of the drive laying down thought she was dead. He picked her up and realised she was alive, came up to the house and she was rushed to the vets. The pellet has gone in her shoulder up next to her spinal cord. She cant walk

but does have feeling in her back feet and tail so fingers cross once the swelling goes down there wont be any lasting damage. All her front claws and pads are damaged we think she has pulled herself home. I really hope she pulls through she is one of the best cats ive known. She is still puring and padding with her front feet when anyone goes to see her. sorry for spellings im just so upset.
 
That's such a nasty thing to do to an innocent cat; do hope she gets better; no wonder you are hopping, I'd be up for murder if I found who did it. Have a huge hug and a squeeze to the cat.
 
shite im about to throw up that is sssooo upsetting, i hate people in this society its so bad and so prevalent and so unpunished. i cant believe it and to sound selfish, wish i had not read this post, i generally try to avoid them cos im a softhearted soul and my mascara is not strong enough. im so so sorry for you all, your cat sounds truly wonderful, trying to get home to what sound like a most wonderfully loving family who will see her through it with no emotional scars to match the physical scars. lets hope the yobbos cant resist boasting and get caught for it. hugs to cat.
 
I'm so sorry, what a really horrible thing to happen. Its just beyond understanding why people do these things - I know how upset we have been when one of our best cats ever was run over, and it must be far worse when someone has deliberately injured your cat.

So sorry to hear this, some people are sick!!

Lots of healing vibes for your cat and big hugs to you, if its any confort a similar thing happened to my uncles cat - he was shot in the scapula and lower leg with an air rifle. Ultimately he lost his leg but otherwise had a good long life still.
 
Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery - poor cat.
With a bit of luck the fools who did this will boast to their teenage mates, their girlfriends will hear about it and report them...

I am so very very sorry to hear this. Your poor cat. I am sending reiki healing and hope that she makes a miraculous recovery from her horrible injuries. The people who did this deserve to have a twelve bore fired at their privates...
 
I'm really sorry about your cat. I know how you must be feeling. We found 'Suzy' underneath a car - she'd also been shot, and was also still alive. Unfortunately, she died at the vets that night. I truly hope your cat pulls through.

It really makes me wonder what sort of upbringing these people have had for them to turn out the way they do. People who have the potential to bring up kids like that should be neutured! They say muderers start out on animals before people..............

I know if anyone had hurt my cat I would be out for blood as that cat means so much to me, I cannot imagin how upset you are but I have my fingers crossed it all works out.
 
I'm so thankful it looks like susie will be ok. I don't have the slightest clue as to why anyone would do such a thing. They are wrong in the head. Hugs to you, it must have been really stressful.

Really hope she's ok.
One of my cats was hit by a car (we think) and dragged himself home in a terrible state. The vet didn't give him much chance but he's a real fighter and still with us 10 years on. It sounds like she's a very brave cat too and will fight hard to stay with you like Bob did with us. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I can't express what I feel about the people who did this!

my friends cat was shot and killed by someone in our village, he was found in the field next to her house (the evening before shots were heard)
she rang the police and they actually took it quite seriously, and questioned a few of the lads (although they denied it) we have our suspicions as to who it was and im sure he will get what is coming to him some day soon...what goes around comes around as they say
i really hope you find out who did this to your cat and get the police to sort them out!
