I should point out that the XC course in question is private property, not a public park or common land. People pay to ride on it. If I see these people again, I might follow them home, then go and walk my horse around their front garden!

Not only does the little boy down the road love to pat and fuss merlin, but he has also ridden him...... so too have two little four year old girls that were oooohing and ahhhhhing over him

I know how I would have loved that when i was little

Only bad thing was ripping the skin off a huge blister on my arm when lifting one of them up

BUT..... Merlin is a big softy really and didnt want to eat them

I ride on my housing estate every day. I know pretty much everyone, and their kids. However, they dont seem to realise Josie doesn't like being stroked, esp by small chidren. I wouldn't mind at all ifshe did. But I do fear for little kiddies fingers hen their parents are constantly picking them up and thrusting them at the horsey's face.

She will, has and does bite. I warn them every time, but they always know better!
