when they turned around so I could see their offside..... they looked VERY pleased with themselves as both were now wearing (dried on) 'coat de cow-pat'! NICE. I was thanking them for giving me such a pleasant surprise (not) when the dog trotted over to me.
To say she was now joining in the 'coat de cow-pat' contest was an understatement, she was DRIPPING in the smelly stuff! To make matters worse, she wanted to be close to me, obviously VERY proud of her handy work, and as I kept moving away from her, she thought it was a game so got closer, and then SHOOK. Luckily, I saw it coming, and dodged flying cow poo, but the cheeky so and so!!!
I would have taken a photo or two, but was laughing so hard, I was crying... my 'pets' thought it was a good party trick, and I couldn't get cross with them.

My father, on the other hand, who allowed the cows to escape again in the first place, is in my bad books.... 'coat de cow-pat' is a devil to clean off!!!

lol you got to love them:D i have a 17hh grey who just loves to apply a full body mudpack at every opportunity, sometimes she's sly though and only does one side so i think she's clean until she turns around:rolleyes:

Last christmas day my brothers dog doned a 'coat de cow pat' and then ran in and under the dining table and shared/smeared herself along 10 sets of legs we all stank!

"Coat de cow pat" is what all the best dressed dogs are wearing this season, together with that classic fragrance "Canal no 5"

Lets face it, I know have a VERY clean dog, and just about presentable horses, although far from show ring presentable!!
AND, thank god it wasn't 'aroma de badger shite'..... !!!

It must be the day for cow shite, I have just had to give my dog a bath after driving back from out walk with my car smelling like a cow shed!! He even got down and rolled in the slurry next to the trough. He thinks he smells nice, I beg to differ!!!
