The last few months i have had fights, tears and tantrums with the owners of a horse at our field.
Since i threw a hissy fit over the girl being far too heavy for the horse, they have pretty much done as little as possible for her (not that they did much to start with!).
The mare ended up being sent to liphook, and then to a chiropractors to sort her back out, with the owners deciding to sell her. She then preceeded to rot in the field for the next 6 weeks.
After talking to her owners they were pursuaded to let one of the other girls ride her, if nothing else to alieviate the bordom and upset every time the other horses went out.
So we try to get her bridle on and she wont have it, no wonder really, as she had a hole in the gum under her top lip that went almost into her nostril, which was followed swiftly by a nasty foot abcess.
Then to add insult to injury the dentist ages her as closer to 25 than the 15/16 year old they thought they had bought.
After all this they decide IF they can give her away they will (as in the mans own words "putting her down will cost money") so i start looking, and last week a lovely family came to see her.
tonight they rang me to say they have just had their livery place confirmed and can they pick her up this weekend!
Tashell is going home! Home will be a nice warm stable, with nice new rugs, and a lovely girl to look after her and give her the one thing she has lacked this last year.....love.
Am chuffed to bits! (if you couldnt already tell!!!)
big chocolate bar to those who made it this far! rambling a bit i know but having phoned everyone i know to tell them the good news i thought i would share it with all of you!!!!
