Horse came in from the field last night fine had obviously been having a run about before I got there as he was covered in mud from head to toe!
Hosed legs off and nothing to be seen, this morning pulled him out to ride and had a slightly swollen front leg just above the fetlock with slight heat, hacked him out thinking it would get rid of swelling but was still slightly puffy when I got back amd warm, he is perfectly sound. Have cold hosed and had ice boots on but still not made much difference!
Not sure whether to get vet out or if he has maybe tweaked something in field. Has anyone dealt with anything similar that could give me some advice please! Thanks!
